About the Artist

Eriko HattoriEriko Hattori (they/them) is a Pittsburgh-based artist. Working primarily in painting, drawing, and printmaking, Hattori’s work is about the cultivation of personal mythologies through the lenses of queerness, heritage, and survivorship.

Hattori attended the Rhode Island School of Design and graduated in 2013. Their work has been exhibited in shows across the country in cities including New York, NY; Los Angeles, CA; Occidental, CA; Philadelphia, PA; Pittsburgh, PA; Baltimore, MD; and New Orleans, LA. They’ve participated in residency programs at Brew House Arts in Pittsburgh, PA; Eureka Mindspace in Kingston, NY; and Misfeed Press’s virtual Artist-in-Residence program. In 2023, they had a solo booth at SPRING/BREAK LA, curated by Hannah Turpin.
