About
The Sunnyside Redevelopment Authority, with management by UP Art Studio, invites professional artists and artist teams to submit work for permanent public sculpture in Sunnyside, the oldest African American community in southern Houston. Artists may submit an existing completed sculpture or propose a commission of a design they have already created. One or more works may be selected. Selected work will be fabricated and installed for permanent outdoor display and must be built to last more than 20 years.
