About the Artist

Keith KnuevenKeith & Co. is a creative studio rooted in collaboration and committed to the public good. With studios in Pittsburgh and Los Angeles, we specialize in public art that bridges communities, sparks dialogue, and transforms shared spaces. Whether it’s honoring a neighborhood’s heritage amid urban change, slowing traffic with beauty near a park, or amplifying an artist’s plea for peace that resonates widely with the public, our work is guided by a belief in art’s power to unite.

Our work, like all public art, centers around the public good. It always starts with a small drawing of a big idea, an intimate pact between paper and artist to birth an idea aimed at delivering change, at times profound but sometimes seen as merely practical, and ideally, hopefully, both. It’s the old adage, “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts,” an approach that helps our work connect to the public, bringing joy to spaces, provoking thought, starting conversations, and inspiring action.

At our core, we are conveners—artists, designers, communities, and collaborators—coming together to imagine what’s possible and create work that reflects both the challenges and the hope of the times we live in.
