About the Artist

Reggie RayeI’m a computational designer and design educator based out of Homewood. I specialize in fine 3D printing, a genre that I’ve pioneered with my design studio, TOMO. My product design aims to marry the technical with the organic. My pieces are generated in CAD using algorithms that I’ve found in nature. These pieces–be they benches, trash cans, or wall art–are 3D printed in sustainably sourced plastic, complemented with fine wood and metal components.

“I am incredibly passionate about Pittsburgh and in particular its built environment. The buildings, structures, and works of art here influence our lives in ways large and small, and I am enthusiastic to play a role, however small, in adding to this shared legacy.”
