About the Artist
I’m a designer and metalsmith based in Western Pennsylvania, working primarily in steel. I design and fabricate minimal, functional objects—ranging from small-scale jewelry to home goods and wall-mounted pieces—meant to be used every day.
My background in contemporary jewelry informs how I approach larger work, with a focus on proportion, detail, and how something meets the body or the wall. I’m interested in creating pieces that feel straightforward and durable, but still considered—objects that hold up over time and become part of a person’s routine or space.
I’m also the founder of Safran Everyday, a line of home goods produced regionally. Through this work, I’ve developed a practice that moves between design, fabrication, and small-scale production.
I’m especially interested in how functional objects can shape shared environments, and in applying this approach to public-facing and site-responsive work.

“Collaboration keeps my work responsive, grounded, and inventive, and it also strengthens my relationship to the public user, since the best design comes from understanding how people actually move through and interact with shared space.”
