About the Artist
James Yaya Hough is a contemporary artist based in Pittsburgh, PA. He exhibits in galleries as well as produces public art. He has led and assisted on mural projects for over two decades. He is a 2026 Incite Change Social Justice Fellow and 2020 Art For Justice Fund Fellow. His art has been exhibited nationally and internationally. He has art in several permanent private and public museum collections including, The Carnegie Museum of Art, The Blanton Museum of Art, and The Brooklyn Museum of Art. He was a featured artist in the Carnegie Museum of Art 58th International. His latest public artwork, “Justice Reflected” (2022) is on permanent display in Battery Park City, NY.
