About the Artist
Kai Ayase is a queer, nonbinary, Japanese-American artist. They create custom pet caricatures on the spot based on photos. The illustrations are cute and colorful, with big sparkly eyes. If you’d like a canvas painting, you can commission one with bright colors and dotted patterns inspired by impressionism.
They also create canvas magnets, stickers, prints, jewelry, and comics. A recurring subject in these creations is their original characters including a bunny, bear, and raccoon. They’re blobby and have sassy side-eyes.
You can find Kai at breweries and art events around Pittsburgh.

“Collaboration is important to me because I think we are stronger when we work together. When we collaborate we can all use our strengths and cover each other's weaknesses, accomplishing projects that may be hard or impossible on our own.”
