Public Art Training Camp Session 8: The Power of Public Art with Che Anderson

Che Anderson, the Deputy Cultural Development Officer for the City of Worcester, is the founder of POW! WOW! Worcester, a yearly international arts festival that adds art to the city every year.
Anderson will speak to the power of bringing public art to Worcester, and how the program shifts its focus every year to address economic, cultural, and societal shifts.

About Che Anderson

Che Anderson is the Deputy Cultural Development Officer for Worcester, MA. He focuses on public art, special events, and cultural equity. A lover of street art, Che has led efforts to increase Worcester’s public art, most notably serving as founding Director of POW! WOW! Worcester, an event that brings internationally acclaimed artists to the city in an effort to activate underused spaces and beautify Worcester. His recent endeavors include serving on the Rose Kennedy Greenway Public Art Advisory Group and Food and Convo, an online platform that explores the intersectionality of art, the culinary industry, and shared human-centered experience.
