SUMMARY:East Liberty Public Art Walking Tour
DESCRIPTION:Morton Brown\, a local public art aficionado\, will take us on a walking tour to explore the history and public art of one of the most beloved Pittsburgh neighborhoods – East Liberty. \nMorton is an independent art consultant and served as the City of Pittsburgh’s Public Art Manager from 2009 – 2015. He has many interesting\, first-hand stories to share regarding the development and preservation of public art in East Liberty\, such as the first artist-designed pedestrian bridge in Pittsburgh\, Shady Liberty\, by Sheila Klein; the Joy of Life sculpture by Virgil Cantini; Leslie Ansley’s Convergence; Kate Bechak’s Worm’s Eye View; To Be Human\, by Ann Lewis\, on the façade of Duolingo HQ; and Thaddeus Mosley’s sculptures at Eastside Bond Plaza. \nPlease join us for this one-of-a-kind tour! \nAccess & Accommodations\nThe tour will meet in front of the main entrance of East Liberty Presbyterian Church\, located at 116 S.
