SUMMARY:Public Art Training Camp Session 6: Managing Stakeholder Relationships with Amina Cooper
DESCRIPTION:Public Art Director at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport\, Amina Cooper\, will share strategies for cultivating and optimizing relationships with key stakeholders including municipalities\, project managers\, subcontractors and community members. This session will help artists learn how to develop and leverage these critical partnerships for a more organized design process with stronger outcomes. \nAbout Amina Cooper\nAmina’s work in public art is centered around policy development and public art planning with a special emphasis on diversity\, equity\, and inclusion. In her current role as Public Art Director – Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT)\, Amina is responsible for coordinating and managing public art project management\, community partnerships\, and overall art coordination at CLT on behalf of the Arts & Science Council (ASC). Amina works with multiple stakeholders to coordinate design\, construction\, and installation of public art installations at CLT\, ranked among the top 10 busiest airports in the world. She previously served as a curator and public arts manager for Montgomery County\, Maryland\, managing public art policy development and collection management efforts for the County.
