About
The Arts and Culture Department, in collaboration with Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, seeks to commission signature works of art as part of the construction of a new Terminal 3 North Concourse that acts as a front door for travelers to the city and state. The project offers several opportunities to integrate major artworks into the building architecture and create stand-alone landmarks that can be experienced from multiple perspectives inside the terminal. The selected artists/artist teams will be required to work closely with the design team to incorporate the artwork into the terminal design and construction documents.
The Arts and Culture Department seeks applications from professional artists, and artist teams, working in a variety of media and artistic approaches who will be responsible for the design and implementation of the artwork.
General locations for artwork have been identified however final placement of artwork will be determined based on a collaborative design process. The content of the artwork must be suitable for public consumption and should avoid political statements.
